Jim Gelb did OK - got 3rd in AG. I think everyone did pretty well considering we have done no speed work at all. Mike Hull had a 7 min PR I think. It was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it.
oh yeah...I ran most of the way with Brandon Smith AKA Charles Smith and he buried me at the end. He finished 4th in his age group. For me his was the most surprising performance because he has not been doing so well in the Austin heat and humidity.
Congratulations on coming in first in your age group! You should be very proud of your achievement. Your blog is a great inspiration for others training for triathlons, and I’d love for you to share your past and upcoming experiences with others through Wellsphere’s HealthBlogger Network (HBN). There is nothing more satisfying than connecting with an animal. For me it is about the horse. Riley is the second horse that I am attempting to have success in eventing with. The first was Taylor, who sadly is not with us anymore, but he taught me pretty much everything I know now. Everything that I will build on with Riley and hopefully a young horse down the road. For me my mojo is about awareness. I lost it for a while while I was running. It's slowly making it's way back into my brain...slowly but surely.
