Due to a very minor hamstring issue, I did not race in the relay. Initially I was happy not to. I ran around on the closed roads today, getting my run in, so I could cheer on the runners from my group. There is nothing better than just flying down Congress Ave..FUN! Once I saw how much fun everyone was having and let the atmosphere soak in, I was wishing I was racing. It was really fun to just relax and cheer people on though. I also had a great run. Short warm up and then fartlek for 3 miles and then a cool down. My legs felt very good and I am feeling no stiffness or pain tonight at all.
I really miss racing locally. That will be my focus next fall after my summer break.
