OK - all you people out there suffering with PF listen up. I just read a thing on line about this procedure called dry needling and ultra sound guided cortisone injection. The doctor injects your heal with local anesthetic, the sticks a needle in and out of the fascia where it connects to your heel - causes micro trauma and stimulates bleeding and ultimately faster healing. Then under ultrasound, they inject the cortisone around the fascia to decrease the existing inflammation. In the study done in Italy, 42 out of 44 patients reported no pain after 3 weeks.
What I want to know-where do I sign up? I qualify - it's annoying and it interferes with my daily life!
