Wow. I went out for an easy 5 miler tonight. Despite the agony of yesterday's run, my legs felt great. I can feel my quads a little. My left foot feels great - the final verdict will be in a few days. I find it almost always feels great the day after a hard effort but a few days later feels like crap. I had no pain in my foot yesterday other than a bit of stiffness afterwards. The cold, crisp air today felt amazing after yesterday's soup.
However, I can say I did not hydrate adequately today - a hot chocolate, bowl of soup, diet coke and 1 glass of water is not enough. Need to work on that.
Over all a nice day - slept in until 9:30, ate breakfast, rode my horse for 20 min, ate lunch, took a 2.5 hr nap, then my run.
