Not Running Related

Totally not running related but important to me.  Today marks a year since I had to put my wonderful horse Taylor to sleep.  Despite all of the physical things wrong with him, he had so much try and heart.  We can all learn as runners that even when things don't look so great out there, you can still put in a tough effort.
I learned a tremendous amount from this horse...not only as it applied to horsemanship but life too.  He was a beloved pet and an exceptional athlete.
Remembering him makes me thankful for my dog, cat and other horse and all the great friends I have in the running community.
Have a happy day everyone!
